Short version: SameStay keeps anonymous search stats so we can make results better. We don't have accounts, and we don't collect your name, email, IP address, or anything else that identifies you.

What we keep for each search

The time, and whether you pasted a link or typed a name.
Which site the link was from (Airbnb, Vrbo, or other) and the listing number. We don't keep the full link you pasted.
The town and state searched.
What we found: how many results, whether we found a direct booking site or another listing, which search service we used, the website names of the top results, and any error.

We don't keep house names you type, your IP address, or your browser details. Search stats are deleted automatically after 180 days.

What we don't do

No accounts, no sign-up, no tracking profiles.
We don't sell or share search stats.

Other services

Our host, Cloudflare, handles your connection to deliver the site and stop abuse; we don't store your IP address. To find matches, we send the listing's name and town (never anything about you) to web search services. Some outbound links are affiliate or referral links, which may pay us a small fee at no cost to you; our affiliate partner's script and the sites you click through to have their own privacy policies. Owner payments run on Stripe, not on SameStay.
